My Approach

My Approach

I want to begin by stating that you cannot change anyone who is not willing to change. Nor can you change anything for the other person yourself. While change is the ultimate goal of all therapy, the need for it should come from 'you.'

Mental health care has greatly evolved as a practice. Over the past many years especially, Cognitive - Behavioral Therapy has proven to be an effective way of treating ailments ranging from anxiety and depression to post-traumatic stress disorders, eating disorders and even more serious psychological health conditions. Likewise, many non traditional or complementary methods have also evolved with time which have proven to be beneficial in addition to standard practices. Therefore, rather than simply relying on talk therapy as a means to help clients cope with their issues, alternate healing modalities like hypnotherapy, regression, pranic healing, NLP, reiki, spiritual healing, meditation, yoga, music & art therapy etc are proving to be of great help as an integrated approach to therapy. Why I emphasize on blending traditional therapies with these modalities can be explained with the help of a quote by Hans TenDam in his great work on Past life therapy. He says "what is the first thing we need if we are going to treat a physical wound? We need to know where it is. To treat a psychological wound, we must also learn where it is - in place and time, in the situation where it originated".

  • Emerson said, "Man is what he thinks all day long."
  • You are what you imagine yourself to be. Thought is the most powerful force in the universe.
  • Your world is a thought expressed. You are the only thinker in your universe and you have the privilege of selecting any constructive idea, nourish it and sustain it, knowing that there is a response from your subconscious mind.
  • Grow in your thoughts, grow in your life!
